Nitinol Actuator Wire

Nitinol actuator wire is a type of shape memory alloy (SMA) made primarily from nickel and titanium. This material has the unique ability to change shape in response to temperature changes. When heated, it can return to a predetermined shape, creating motion or force. The wire is commonly used in applications like robotics, medical devices, and aerospace for precise actuation. Its high efficiency and compact size make it ideal for use in small, lightweight systems. Nitinol actuators offer precise control and minimal power consumption. The wire operates based on the phase transition between austenite and martensite. It can be electrically or thermally activated.
